As the demand for smaller processor grows this will just grow. Wearable devices become a lot more practical if they only need a small processer and don't use much power. Let the cloud process the data and consume the results from a phone or tablet.

As far as security goes, it will be interesting to see how encryption evolves and how many major security failures occur.
