I'm perfectly content with miles as our coach, most of you have good reasons as why he should leave but how would you feel if we became dumpster fire university like Tennessee or Florida, if miles has bad season next year I agree a change should be made. Just a thought

How would u feel,if we made a change and became great , again? You can't just go one way. A dumpster fire is extreme.

Miles will be here so deal with it.
Why are some of you so damn thick headed or just outright stupid? LSU went thru a very unchacteristic change of personnel last season particularly on offense. LSU lost VETERAN players in 2 WRs; RB, QB on offense and at DT and LB on defense. LSU had to play true Freshmen and inexperienced Sophs at these positions as a result. SURPRISE, SURPRISE the LSU offense suffered. How did this impact LSU? Well, just remember how prolific LSU's 2013 offense was for a comparison.
LSU is extremely talented on offense and defensively the new players have made their presence known already. Why wouldn't you expect LSU to improve? What happened to LSU is basicly called rebuilding and should have been expected by anyone with any football knowledge at all. some of these players were pressed in service before they were ready and it showed. The young players are improving and will continue to improve. the coaching staff has done a good job this season considering all the turnover. Where this staff needs to concentrate is on keeping the players from leaving LSU early.
LSU will be fine. So, "LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS".

So is becoming a dynasty. Most likely scenario is continuing to win 8-9 games.

The only thing we need to worry about is how much of a raise Les is going to shake down Alleva for one last time before he retires.
Reason being is that there's a better than average chance that Alleva actually goes back to the well and increases season ticket prices to pay for a raise for Miles and/or his staff.
The alternative to this scenario is that we have an opportunity to hire a coach and actually place expectations and accountability on the salary we pay him. Which we evidently don't currently do.

All good points, BUT the main issue with Miles is for whatever reason he cannot recruit and/or develop a good quarterback which as we all know is the most important position on a squad. We all know how bad the qb situation has been since 07. JJ had a good game like every 4th game. Lee was solid and for whatever reason was benched in 2011 and never had the opportunity to play again. Obviously ZM was great in 13, but it's really hard to give credit to LM for that for the reasons we all know. Now we're going into game #14 with AJ and he looks very little better, if any, than he did vs Iowa last year. BH appears to have much more upside, but for whatever reason he can't get on the field and won't barring an injury to AJ because there have been plenty of chances to get him some playing time. We're most likely going to have at least 2 more years of piss poor qb play and that is the difference between LSU being an elite team and a middle tier SEC team. Until Miles can go get a qb that fits his system or gets one and builds a good offense around him people will want him gone as I and most fans do. I hate to think about what our records would've been over the last 7 years if chavis hadn't been here carrying the team that continues to have to compete with one arm tied behind it's back.

It's ok to have an opinion, even if I disagree.

Stop repeating things that you have heard others say. Meyer hurt Florida by stay on an extra year and not giving 100%. With Tennessee the game had passed Fulmer by and they stuck with him way too long.

CLM has the University by the balls. It's too expensive to fire him. He will be here for about 3-4 years unless someone takes him off of our hands.

I don't know. I'd ask the same of you for not realizing Miles has developed one adequate QB since 2007. One. The quarterback position is only the most important position on the field.
LSU's quarterback situation is equivalent to having a bunch of top-notch vice presidents, directors, managers and employees and then hiring the worst possible CEO.

As if the only way to be knowledgeable about miles (or coaching, football, lsu, etc.) is to have thousands of tigerdroppings posts?

This. It's not a great situation to have young guys starting, but there are many instances across the country where they have succeeded or at least improved throughout the year. AJ never got better.

Lee was benched because he was as scared a QB as I have ever witnessed played the game. Him being benched in the first game was the right move, not ever putting him back in was certainly not the right one.

The problem lies here. In order for a QB to succeed here, we need starting NFL talent at WR, RB, QB, and OL. His philosophy is this is what we are running, try to stop us. Until it opens up and he starts using some misdirection, we will struggle on O. He doesn't have a want to change, so it appears it won't happen until he is gone.

If we missed again on a hire at D coordinator, like the Malveto disaster, Miles would be gone already. The Chavis D is the perfect counterpart to Miles limited O. It's opportunistic and allows for the possession style run right out you O to actually work. When our D was trying to find itself early this year, we got blown out. With AJ under center next year, we will likely be in every game and win 9-10 of them because the D will be nasty. As fans we are Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. The same exact thing every year.

OP, I can't help but be worried.
I think Les is staying.

I didn't say we would be a dynasty either. I am just saying , we will see what happens. I don't think in extremes . We have great kids coming back, some great recruits. I am hopeful and have faith in our future.
