...and Bush has essentially backed the CIA.

Can you imagine Obama stepping up like that?

Bush is an honorable man. You cannot say that about many DEMs.

It took the Democrats in the Senate an admitted 5-1/2 years of investigation to determine that the CIA misled the President, Congress and the public. Those same Senate Democrats determined that the same CIA didn't mislead anyone about Benghazi in a matter of weeks. I'm sure they were equally thorough in both investigations.

I would love to know the story on the downvotes I have received. Is it embarrassment over the lack of character of the current President, or just more disdain for Bush?

For good or for ill, this willingness to abandon certain moral and constitutional limitations at a time of extreme danger to the nation's well-being is why he was able to support TARP, and other extra-constitutional responses to the 2007/08 financial meltdown.

Bush really has no choice but to back the CIA.

Regardless, I don't see this as a partisan issue. We were torturing prisoners, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention, and those doing the torturing lied to us about it. Heads should roll over this(no pun intended), and it's pretty telling that the only one that has faced consequences on it is the whistleblower.

$40 Million was spent on this "report."

$40,000,000 spent on a one sided report constructed purely for political purposes but given the weight by the media of being some kind of official accounting.

Gotta love Democrats.

Michael Hayden says the only think Bush didn't know about was the specific location of the Black Sites.

Politico Magazine interview with Michael Hayden

I miss George Bush being our President. He is a leader.

Nobody tortured nobody. We water board our on Navy Seals. The Dimwitted Holder refused to prosecute so they understand that the House and Senate authorized this.

The senate was not allowed to speak to any CIA members, so this investigation is a joke from the get go.
