You've got to have thick skin to be in the business. People try to make you look stupid; you have to stay confident and sure. If things don't go your way, you never show it.

Even if these kids are using it as an excuse to delay finals, they are doing it at the expense of their reputation. Pretty dumb, imo.

It's like the people who need extra time on exams for pussy reasons. Good look finding a job at a law firm that will let you turn in a motion late because you have ADD, or you were 'stressed,' etc

I once had a hearing in Greenville, Texas. I was visiting with a group of lawyers. One of the lawyers, who was from Houston, started talking about a terrible car accident where the Houston lawyer and his three young children were killed. He said the name of the lawyer, and it was one of my law school roommates. I had to regroup and go forward with the hearing.

These kids are going to be weak (if they delay their final).

agreed, i feel like if Yale or Harvard had a school shooting on campus the week before they still wouldnt push the dates
