Not really. All it will take is for them to come home from school talking about all the other kids in their kindergarten class and their elves from Santa. Soon as they look up at momma and ask her why Santa has not sent them an elf, you might as well go ahead and reach for your keys because you're going to be going to the store.

Or, you could simply say, "Bah! Humbug!" as you turn on the TV to sulk... and forever be banned from certain privileges?

Yep. It's gotten to the point now where when this time of year comes around it is all the kids talk about at school. Not many parents going to deny their kids a part of christmas time that all their friends are enjoying, especially when it is something as harmless as this.
