I've never seen Frank speak, but I can see now why he is regarded as such a great recruiter. Need to do whatever it takes to keep this guy around.
If we hold on to Vadal and Hawkins like Cam eludes to, and the QB play can get SLIGHLTLY better, I like our chances..
Especially with Beckwith and the core of this defense returning.
Unfortunately I think we lose both. Hunter and Rasco will be felt as well - although I think the DL is in better shape than the OL.

Well firing Les isn't going to do that.
The philosophy will always bee the same under Les. And I'm fine with it. The play calling has been diff under every OC.

BTW, I have patience when it comes to Cameron. I know Miles is his obstacle.
You are one of those everything that happens good it's not because of miles and everything bad it's because of miles guys. Cute.

"5 or 6 minds are better than 1" - cam
"that was a les miles call" - cam re: ole miss TD pass
also insinuated that he's going to stay up in the booth rather than down on the field. Which is different than all of his other stops in coaching where he was a field coach. I feel like him being on the field this past season with green QB's could have helped out a lot with their development.
he also insinuated that the A&M game offense is pretty much what LSU is moving to. more spread option, more QB movement, WR movement but with leonard downhill running as well.
said as an OC you want to be creative, but also want to establish a base for young QB's. essentially doing the simple stuff right first and building off of it.
first time he's really been interviewed all year. hebert asked him if he was handcuffed in the playcalling. kinda dodged that one with the "5 or 6 people" remark.

Frank Wilson is the Boss. If he can run a program as good as he runs the RBs and recruiting I will gladly support turning the program over to him when Miles leaves or retires. Especially if its a few years down the road.
This man has the personality and presence to command the attention of the fan base, especially those who need to be coddled. He will shine on the Tiger Tour.
This man should be the highest paid assistant coach on staff. Give him a raise yesterday!

What has Cam done to earn a HC position at LSU.....seriously.
What had Miles done? Or Dinardo? Or Archer?
Cam is more accomplished at a higher level than all of those
Don't be fooled, if a fresh up to date coach came in and told Cam the offense is his, I think you would see us at the top of the sec statistically in offense. All while riding LF for 25 carries per game.

Bobby Hebert surprised me with some of his remarks. If you remember, after the national championship game debacle, he really laid into Les Miles. But at the NOLA QB Club he made a point of making glowing remarks about the streak of 8 wins or more.

Cam is 18-37 as a head football coach in college football. 18-37. In the 10 years prior to Cam Cameron Indiana football was 59-53, a respectable Big10 program. Cam took that fricking ship and drove it Titanic style. 18-37, 18-37,18-37. But yeh, he has accomplished more

...keep going. If I remember correctly he moved up and did quite well.
But don't let those pre-hire facts get in the way of your thinking.
It's Indifrickingana! Same results with most coaches there, save for the Randle El days
Do you really think a college coach defensive scheme can fool this guy?

I didn't clown...I said he is more accomplished at HIGHER LEVELS than other LSU coaches.
Im not lobbying for him. I just want a coach that is an OC type guy or gets the frick out of our OC's way. If that is Miles, so be it..he should really just stay out of the offense (although I know he won't)
Miles would probably try to take Cam with him to Mich anyway.....which isn't going to happen since Harb will be fired in SF and most likely take the Mich job.
But to be clear, Cam has college head coach experience (albeit a shitty record) and then went on to successful pro OC career and now record setting offensive success at LSU last year when given the tools to work with. There are plenty of successful guys who tinker in college, go to pro jobs, and then return to college with high success.

Not hating on Les but was his resume worthy of earning a HC position at LSU? Glad we got him though.

And you are one of the Rant's annoying POS who like to attack anyone who doesn't share your view in total. But feel free to put words in my mouth, BeeBitch.
Miles has done far more good than bad at LSU. But he has sucked as recruiting/developing high school QBs and is too stubborn with his offensive philosophy.

That's not true. Indiana was 1-15 in the Big Ten the two years before Cam arrived. It was an absolute train wreck. He won four games in the Big Ten the year he was fired, including on the road at Wisconsin and Michigan State. That was 2001. Indiana hasn't won four Big Ten games in a season since.
