Well, when people talk about cuts to higher ed, they are generally talking about education instituting cuts to programs. What difference does it make to an English professor if his salary is paid by state tax dollars or tuition dollars. Instead you have higher edu faculty and staff running around like it's doomsday when their budget has not gone down!!!

If people have to pay more, then those families should complain.

And for families who might think about complaining about tuition:

1. TOPS covers like 75% of LSU students.
2. Tuition is still below the southern average even with the recent increases.
