The amount he learned in a year under Saban, his ability to recruit, etc... He'd be Urban's worst nightmare.

He's got the best resume but the worst reputation.

Saban would not have hired Kiffin if he were a 1-and-done risk. Kiffin will be at Bama for a while.

Nebraska should have hired Lane. They made an Alleva hire and will be looking for someone else in 3 years.

Why so Kiffin can pull another UTN, and run off to the NFL after a couple of years.

No, hoping Kiffin is the coach in waiting.

I don't think one year is enough for him to suddenly be a good head of a program. Especially one with Michigan expectations. Minimum two years, but even then I don't know. I think he'll end up at a big job again one day.

It would be funny if Michigan would hire Les. LSU goes get Lane and he kicks Sabans arse for a few years. Lol

i dont know a lot of teams that would want his as a head coach at this point. i know lots that would love him as offensive coordinator though. Best thing for lane would 2 to soak up the Process for another 2 years, then do what mcelwain did, go to a MW or CUSA team and kick some arse for a couple seasons, then get another major job, still in his mid forties.

Did anyone think it was weird how Kiffin stayed away from the celebration during SEC title game. While team and coaches were at midfield, he was 15-20 yards to the left of team, by himself during the deal.

Kind of weird for him not to be in middle of celebration.

So Kiffin sucked as a coach at 3 different stops, but a guy whose offense usually turns out successful offenses hires him (with the best WR in college football) and now he is a hot coaching commodity?

We all know Saban is training Kiffin to take over Bama when he retires.

I'm not much a fan of the guy, but Im starting to believe this would be a great hire.
