It's no where near how it was, but I still do similar things to this day. Just last night my 3 year old little girl, who's sick right now, was coughing and coughing hours after she had been put to bed. Then I realized later that I hadn't heard her cough in a while. "I'll be back. I need to make sure she's still breathing."

He started waking up like 3 or 4 times a night, and as much as that sucks, the minute he starts to sleep through the night again, I won't get a wink of sleep. "He has to be dead."

My mom always tells me this is the easy part. When they get older I have to worry about her being a good person.

Man I've told my wife a million times already, "it'll be easier when..."

And I'm only 7 months in with the twins. I'm a firm believer that it will never be "easier". It just gets... different.

Anyone else have issues with their baby eating better for one parent vs the other? She eats much better for my wife than me. It's very frustrating.

I did, but I don't have the boobs, so it's obviously different

If she has spent more time with momma, that's who she's more comfortable with.

Well we are all bottles right now. She's spent equal time but within the last 24 hours she has favored her for feeding. My wife is also more patient than me.

I was always the better feeder/burper but my wife was better at getting them to stop crying. The colicky type of crying grates on my nerves and the baby can sense the tension and stress.

Probably contributing to why she's eating better with mom. You're undoubtedly stressed over everything that's happened so far, and your wife has the motherly instinct to suppress it and stay relaxed. That, or she's still on painkillers from the birth.

Motherly instinct. I'm inpatient. My wife says that's the issue. That just makes it more frustrating.

I've heard a good shake fixes everything. Gets them to stop crying.

PSA: Don't shake your baby!

Completely misunderstood creatures. They just want to be loved.

Took the feeding tube out today to see how she would drink without it. She downed a bottle in under 10 minutes. This girl is a champ.

Only for you.

Glad to hear things are containing to improve.

I make those jokes in my head all the time, then I remember that she is my daughter.

Awesome! When we brought our girls home, we struggled to get them to take 50ml in 30 minutes. It was rough.
