Back in the day in Morgan City there was a sign out front of a small grocery/corner store that said "coons are in" they were selling coons to eat - so somebody does, I never did. Ive eaten fried muskrat and its tasty but you have to clean it right, get all the glands etc out and keep overnight in cold salty water

I was in Batesville Arkansas and some black guys were selling them on the side the road.
