Not a single pumper will post in this thread as it completely flies in the face of their "see look at Florida and Nebraska" narrative

I'll post in this thread. I don't consider myself a "pumper" but I am a pro-Miles guy. When Saban left, I was disappointed . Not about losing Saban {never been a fan}, but disappointed because LSU would have to start over with a new coach and all that goes with it. I didn't know anything about Miles other than he coached at Okie State. So I wasn't real exited at the time. But Miles has proven to me to be a good coach and a loyal employee of the university. I have been frustrated with him at times but personally, I'm glad he's at LSU.

Nah our AD at the time was one of the best coaches at any level of sports. Is it quite possible he knew the characteristics of a coach that could succeed? Which is why we past on the scum bag petrino.

I didn't know much about Las, but he finished up by pulling rp and keeping jimbo on staff and hiring pelini that had some solid D's at nebraska. So I was pretty excited a long with jmarc becoming the full time starter.

Why can't anyone just say we made the rt hire at the time? Doesn't mean alleva will. We went through 8 coaches in 24 seasons after McClendon. We've gone through 1 in 10 with Les. So history tells me that we could have continued the previous trend. And would have with the petrino hire.
