One important fact from Ferguson is being grossly underreported

In the media's breathless rush to fill the airwaves with anything that fits their narrative about what happened in Ferguson, one critical bit of information is being grossly underreported.
According to the grand jury transcripts seven black citizens of Ferguson came forward to give testimony that corroborated the testimony of Officer Wilson.
Think about it. A black man had just been shot by a white police officer. The dead man's body was unconscionably left uncovered on the street for four hours before it was removed. Tensions are high. The dead man's friend, as well as other self-serving liars, have given false testimony saying that Michael Brown had surrendered and was on his knees with his hands up saying "don't shoot."
Yet 7 black people of exceptional character and integrity stepped forward to tell the truth, regardless of how they may or not feel about the police. What mattered most to them was the truth, something that's supposed to matter most to all of us, but seldom does to so many people.
And of course the media are hardly mentioning this since it conflicts with their narrative of what happened and would lead to a decrease in viewership.
To those seven black citizens, I commend you.

They are definitely courageous people. Given the violence we watched generated by the low lifes involved in the rioting it would take a person of true courage to buck those animals.

Yet 7 black people of exceptional character and integrity

Racial politics is the worst kind of politics and today racial politics is done by the politicians for votes, by the race baiters for contribution money, and by the media for ratings (advertising money). I hate it.
I wish people could treat each other better. Maybe with a little dignity and respect even if you hate their views. The paradox is I don't respect the people who participate in it so I just try to avoid it and them.

He was left in the street because the damn crime scene investigators couldn't get through the crowd to the scene of the incident.
Ever stop to think maybe the cops didn't want to risk spoiling the crime scene?

It is such a significant thing to me that I am toying around with writing a story about this kind of situation, but in which the 7 witnesses actually have a secret axe to grind with somebody and so they lie to corroborate the officer's testimony.

This is part of the myth that surrounds this story. It didn't happen. His body was covered relatively quickly. The crime scene processing was delayed by an excited crowd which was jubilantly firing firearms into the sky with great abandon.
