He told me he was looking for the R on the ballot and voting them. When I asked what he would do if there were multiple Rs, he said he was taking the first one.

While I too tend to side with republicans lacking a viable libertarian candidate, he should not be voting for major races without having more information to go on than that.

This makes me cringe.

Your son needs to learn the importance of research and making informed decisions as it pertains to voting.
