Please keep this thread informed. I have been off and on in a similar situation but instead of atv riding, it is more camping. As discussed earlier, it's not that I mind but I really can't trust that the kids aren't going to set the woods on fire. If a couple of adults came with and asked me, I would be all for it and could set them up in some prime spots. I just want everyone to stay safe and not ruin my family property.

When's the last time you heard of a forest fire around here? It's pretty much impossible to set the woods on fire, even if you try.

It's your land and they don't have a right to be there, but they aren't going to burn your place down. Maybe you should help them out. Go pick a spot and build a little fire ring, tell them to camp there. It's a good thing that kids are wanting to go camping instead of playing video games. If you don't mind them being on your place, give them a hand.

A neighbor and I met the deputy sheriff across the road from his trailer. We told the deputy about all that had taken place and he went over to speak to the gentleman in question. While we were talking to the deputy dude was filling up the 4 wheeler with gas. He had a wife beater and doo rag on his head with plenty of nice tats. Anyway, while the deputy was talking to him, he never really looked up and just kept filling that tank. I spoke to the deputy afterwards and he said he ran a background on the gentleman and what do you know he has several priors. Anyway, the sheriff's office now knows and he has been warned. I also spoke to a game warden and he is ready to bust his arse as well. Hopefully he stays away, but the LEO's don't expect him to based on experience. They told me I could press charges if I saw him on the property or had pics of him on the property. I really don't want my cams stolen. I don't plan to be there for a couple weeks, but I may slip down there to check things out. It is easy to know if he's active with the loud pipes. I am going take a wait and see approach for now. I have relatives living on the property and they will report and 4 wheeler activity. The GW seemed really anxious to catch him.
