We just got done battling this for over 10 years. Finally found the right course of action and worked with LADWF to set up regulations for preserving historic rivers. It was always illegal to ride on the private property surrounding the river, but police didn't want to deal with it because by the time they get down to the riverside all the riders are gone.

Good luck, there's not much you can do until the law gets involved. We always asked people to leave, but eventually you'll run into drunk people that are willing to fight for their right to destroy your land.

I put no trespassing signs and survey tape on the sand bar dude likes to ride on today and hunted close by this afternoon. Well sure enough at about 3:30 he fired the straight pipe 4 wheeler up and made his rounds letting everyone know how loud his shite is. At about 4:30 he came down the sand bar to the property line and raced the engine cutting doughnut just outside our property line. I got down and made a b line to the corner line and waited. He was gone. I called the SO and anyway I was told we could get him on a variety of charges, (disturbing the peace being the most likely). I am on this shite like a dog on a gut pile. For some reason dude thinks it is cool to fire up the Yamaha and make all kind of noise in the afternoon. I will be back tomorrow.
