I just think Jennings has been so abysmal that we all want to see if Harris can do better. If he stinks it up, he stinks it up. Then, we just go into the bowl game and offseason with an open position and the chance for either guy to win the job next year.
That is a 2 way street. If he stinks it up it could "break him" and then we really are back to JJ vs JL (unless a JUCO guy comes in). However, he could play well and that make him, but Harris would have to be really struggling in practice to not overtake AJ after the Arky game.

Also, the way we've looked at QB this year, wide receiver recruits should absolutely run from LSU if they don't at least see a glimmer of hope from the passing game.
You do realize that most recruits are very competive ppl and the challenge of coming in and helping turn the offense around is just as appealing as it is a turn off right (especially with Landry and OBJ in the NFL)?

He'd have to literally not show up to not outperform Jennings.

Now that is some serious spin

I understand what you're saying. But, if the Auburn performance didn't break him, I don't think another bad outing would do so. He appears to be a very confident, competitive guy, and that type of QB will always think his next pass, his next game, will be successful. It takes a lot to break a QB like that.
