If McCarthy is a top 5 coach, currently, but everything about him is equal to Sean Payton.
Record (win% is pretty much the same)
Superbowl Wins (1 a piece)
Playoff victories/defeats (6-5 and 6-4 record)
Offensive production (annual top 5 since they've been head coaches)
Than that means Payton is equivalent to McCarthy, is it not?
But okay, he's an average head coach that 26 other teams would want. If that is the definition of average to you, below average, or whatever it is you're trying to say...then go back to school and pay attention in english class.
