Are you starting to understand why firing is so dumb? We're directly comparing him to someone you listed as a top 5 coach and he stands shoulder to shoulder.
Who has the better recent track record?

change your story up to defend yourself because your argument is idiotic.
Actually, it would still be Sean Payton.
2013: Green Bay playoffs 0-1, hosting a playoff game
2013: New Orleans playoffs 1-1, both road games.

Past 3 seasons (including this one):
Regular Season
Sean Payton 28-13 (68.3%)
Mike McCarthy 27-15-1 (62.8%)
Playoffs
Sean Payton (2-2)
McCarthy (1-2)

and to rest my case on how idiotic and spoiled you probably are, not having to live through the late 90s and early 2000s.
Sean Payton 6-4 playoffs:
10 games: 302 points scored (30.2ppg), 274 points allowed (27.4ppg)
+2.8ppg
Mike McCarthy 6-5 playoffs:
11 games: 323 points scored (29.4ppg), 295 points allowed (26.8ppg)
+2.6ppg
Oh look at that, even in the playoffs their teams are spot on even.
Why 4? Why not 5?
4 would make your case better because that means 1 ring for McCarthy and none for Payton
5 years would make your case worse because that means both have a ring.
How about the last 4 years of each coach's tenure? That would make more sense.

What about going back 4 years? You're the one who keeps saying I said shite that I didn't say
