So what is elite then, top 2?
If people consider Elite QBs to be 5:
Manning
Brady
Brees
Rodgers
Luck
then should it not work the same for head coaches?
ETA: So fine, he's not elite. He's a top 5 coach, and you want to kick him now, and try to find a random guy to take his place. The chances of someone coming in and doing a better job is slim. If it was that easy, teams would never have coaching issues.

Are you starting to understand why firing is so dumb? We're directly comparing him to someone you listed as a top 5 coach and he stands shoulder to shoulder.
You fire a top coach in the hopes of possibly finding another one while risking the last few years of a HOF QB?
