I feel like if someone like fricking Les Miles can be the most successful coach in history here, then any halfway decent coach could turn this program into an absolute powerhouse

No "feeling" about it.

Saban handed this a-hole the winning powerball ticket, and Miles cashed it in. Hence his record here.

I KNOW a halfway decent coach could turn this into a powerhouse.

say I am a very successful coach and LSU comes calling - they have just gotten rid of the most successful coach in their history, a guy who coaches in the toughest division and conference in America, a guy who has been in two national championship games and won one, a guy who has won his division and conference more than once, got a 100 victories quicker than all but one coach (Spurrier) in the SEC and graduates his players. But they got rid of him. I would have to ask myself can I do any better? I ask this because you must to make this fan base happy.

Um, well, Saban at LSU had a worse record than Miles at LSU. By your logic, that means Saban (and every other coach in school history) is less than halfway decent.

I assume your nonsensical response will be something equivalent to "Saban made Miles," so save yourself the trouble.
