For those of you that were actually at the game, when Bama fumbled on the 5 and then Borne announced for fans not to run on the field, it totally jinxed us. Good job Alleva, SEC, and Borne for that.

Obviously in jest, but even Miles called him out for that. It's another Alleva problem considering he celebrated the Ole Miss fans in the field, then stadium personnel prematurely make announcement during gameplay.

It's just another gameday management mistake, like so many.

I doubt it really "jinxed" LSU, but I thought it was stupid to make the announcement.

I don't believe in jinxes, but he made 3 announcements in the last 1:15. That was the most asinine statement I've ever heard over the PA at LSU games. I'm sure the Bama fans are getting a kick out of that one.

I'm sure someone instructed him to make those announcements, so I won't lay sole blame on Borne, but how ignorant are the people in charge of that decision?

At least we listened to him and did not run on the field prematurely like the Kentucky fans did. It looked like some people were ready to tear the goalposts down after the field goal.

In all actuality he didn't jinx us, but guck him for saying that a few times. Pissed my whole section off and I'm sure others as well.

There's no way you believe that this altered the outcome of the game. No way.

Game officials ( Tom Ritter) requested that the announcement be made. I heard that Tom Ritter's company owns the vehicles that move all of Bama's equipment around, and of course, its common knowledge that his daughter is a tenured professor at Alabama.

Agreed. It was audible on TV and said the same thing out loud when I heard Borne.
