I can't stand Kobe, but how in the hell can you call a guy with 5 rings a team killer?

Is he taking too many shots?
Yes, but who else on that team has a chance to keep them competitive? No one.

Is his salary out of whack for what he brings to the table these days?
Absolutely. I'd argue that .Bryant's production for $23M is a better deal than EG's production at $15M (not an earth shaking revelation...I'll admit)..

Yeah, I don't get what people expect. The Lakers were going to be really bad this season anyway. But they have also lost 2 of their top 4 players for the season (Nash and Randle). Plus their 2nd best player is out right now (Young). How many teams would be competitive if they lost 3/5 of their starting line-up? Bryant is carrying a mighty big load..
