It's not Republicans so much as it is the oil biz. It's hard enough to get workers to pass a piss quiz with it being illegal. Legalize it, and the shitstorm of court cases will follow. Also, you want to give a state with the 3rd highest poverty rate in the country and ranked 48 in education legal weed?

What does that have to do with weed? They can already get illegal weed, and plenty of other illegal stuff. We need education reform, big time.

They could simply take marijuana off the drugs to test for. It's not difficult, but they seem to think this will lead to an untold number of workers coming into work stoned. You know, just like how an untold number of workers come to work hammered all the time because it is legal.

Most, if not all, of the tax revenue that Colorado is making from marijuana is going to their educational system. Imagine if Louisiana could utilize that resource.
