I've only seen Harris play during the Auburn game. In that game he could not break the huddle. When passing he could not hit the broad side of a barn from the inside. So why do I always hear and read he is a better passer? Where is the proof?

Look, I'm not saying Jennings is better, obviously he is not working. I just want to know why people assume Harris can take over and make the offense move.

Harris isn't good enough to beat an SEC team yet. Neither is Jennings, but his mistakes are minimized compared to Harris'.

ETA: And it's pretty close tbh. Both still have screwups on handoffs. The only difference is that Jennings underthrows it and Harris overthrows.

Not sure.... BUT Miles should have started him against UK while at home in a comfortable environment. His confidence was shattered at AU. I am not sure we beat AU this year with METT starting... That game had been circled on AU'S schedule since they came out... As good as Harris looked against MSU[against a three-man rush] And NMS. He was not ready to start at AU...

Having said that, I think he WILL be better and IMO should get playing time against both teams remaining........ But Miles WILL not do this....

Go watch the other games that Harris played in... And then you'll know. In his limited PT, he has shown more talent and ability than Jennings has his entire career.

He's just really green right now. But I would hope he gets PT down the stretch...

And I hope they don't call the game differently just because Harris is in and not Jennings, which is what they have done. Call the similar run heavy offense with some PA passing... Don't put Harris in the game and then just pass pass pass. Don't put that pressure on him. Ease him into the game out there.

And the fact that we finally found our rushing attack should help. Because we didn't have it early on in the season when Harris saw most of his snaps.

No one really knows, most people are in love with his upside more than anything and he seems to have a better feel for the game but I don't think he would do any be in regards of passing this year but he definitely would be a better runner than Jennings as he's the better athlete.

A lot of people on this board still believe Russell Shepard was a viable option as a QB so you have that.

Here is an idea, don't start a thread about something you could have known by simply being a fan and watching LSU games.

If you only saw Harris during Auburn then you missed a large chunk of the season.

BH started his first game on the road against a top 5 team in the SEC. He is a true freshmen and played horrible. He wasn't the only one that played bad at auburn though.

I just don't understand how the coaching staff thought he was a viable option in September and have essentially given up on letting him gain experience in games.

Let's put it this way.... Over the course of ten games Jennings has proven himself to be one of the worst starting quarterbacks in major college football.

The odds are STRONGLY in favor of Harris being better. Few qb's have been worse than Jennings.

The first gif is the only thing I need to see to recognize that Harris has way more talent and ability than Jennings does. Jennings cant make that throw. Period.

2nd gif is just for fun because I found it when looking for gif #1.

Does anybody remember the NMST game? Harris was unbelievably good. Yes, it was NMST, but Harris looked better in that game than Jennings has looked in ANY game. Harris was overwhelmed at Auburn, but the potential he showed in the NMST game has makes it clear that he has more upside than Jennings. Harris just needs more playing time.

You haven't seen Jennings and Harris in the other games they shared time?

How about when Harris lead the team to like 9 or 10 straight TDs.. and Jennings was throwing horrific versus scrub teams...

You guys actually believe Miles doesn't want Haris to succeed?

He and Cam don't trust Haris, bottom line. Haris hasn't earned that trust. Jennings is doing almost everything right mentally, but he is obviously less physically gifted. Haris has to take the job because no one is gonna give it to him.

Harris is a much better QB but doesn't have the playbook down just yet. Also, his lack of experience is a big reason why you won't see him this year as well. Be happy with the potential of 10-3 record under Jennings and wait to see Harris mature into spring.

I don't think people are necessarily certain that Harris is better at this point. I think people realize that harris has a much higher ceiling than Jennings, so they want to start developing him now. Harris undoubtedly has a better arm and is probably a better athlete than Jennings is.

I'm fine with Jennings playing against bama if the coaches thought that at this point in their careers, Jennings gave the team a better chance to win. However, now that we have lost 3 games, does it really matter? It seems to for miles because he can mark another 10 win season on his belt. However, I would gladly take a loss to Arkansas and A&M if it meant our QB for next year gets some reps and plays meaningful snaps in an SEC game.

Would Harris have run on the 4th down in overtime , with the only thing in his field of view but the bama band? Or throw into double coverage? It doesnt take a great understanding of the playbook, I would take a chance on him. Does it matter if we win the last 2 games with Jennings? Id just as soon drop the last two to get Harris soom playing time. what if we do win with Jennings , then we start next year with a QB that is not improving ,and has already hit his high water mark. Harris will improve. Will he get a chance? No! Another DAMN good team will suffer from hopeless QB play until a loss.
