I would MUCH MUCH rather:
1. sign some experienced oline
2. Draft some beast rookie olineman
3.fire our oline coach and beg Kromer to come back.
The defense is more than good enough to maintain and manage games.
Brees and Payton put them in situations this year where the defense has to win the game because the offense already threw it away. That's bullshite. It's not the way this team should play, and you dumb fricks refuse to acknowledge or admit it.

Exactly, everything about the "Sean Payton and Drew Brees" era has screamed is the offense is going to carry this team. With a competent defense, we can win it all.
The Defense is put in a difficult bind when you turn the ball over 3 times. Sorry, but they shut out the 49ers in the 2nd half til ONE blown coverage on 4th and 10 which led to a FG resulting in a tie into OT. Then, offense comes out and passes it a billion times instead of sticking to the run game, defense makes a stop, and then the offense turns it over in our territory, in OT again. Loss #2 in OT this year by a fumble.
Great. fricking. Job. Offense.
Get Brees a damn OL and we will be fine with this defense we have. SF produced 330 yards, Kaep was sacked 4 times/fumbled once, and held Frank Gore to 3.5ypc.
In what way did the defense cost us that game? Because they gave up ONE big play? Lets ignore the fact that we turned the ball over 3 times, 2 being the DUMBEST decisions ever, one which indirectly took away at least 3 points because we wanted to rush and not call a damned time out, and the other one led to an easy walk in touchdown for SF.
Offense costed us this one, just like how they almost costed us against TB and costed us against Cleveland and Detroit. Complain and whine all you guys want, this is the offense's fault and until we get a better line for Brees to have time instead of rushing, its going to happen again.
