Venue Pro 8 + OTG adapter will give you full size usb in 8" tablet form for the $180-220 range, depending on where you're looking. A microSD can expand the storage considerably. Con here is no keyboard (but it's got Bluetooth and can connect to and Bluetooth keyboard).
Transformer book is a great option, too, albeit a little more expensive. Once you accessorize the above, if you go with a refurbished t100, you could easily spend the same.
I much prefer windows 8 to chromeOS, so my bias is away from the chrome book. Many people disagree, and for your purposes, you'll get a bigger product with a bigger screen, which could be a potential plus or minus for you.
No experience or knowledge of the switch 10.
