LSU is similar to the team it was in the bcsnc game. Saban had a solid game plan that worked and surely will stick to that same plan.

Miles will have to adjust or I look for the same type of frustration.

IMO, him adjusting and defeating will be a great indication of just how good he is.

I love how quickly people go back and forth between "best" and "worst" ever coaching job in a single season.

The players needed to execute that plan are not nearly as great on this year's Alabama defense. They have some serious weaknesses in the secondary.

Bama will stop our inside run game. They have avg giving up less than 80 rushing yards per game and they have two weeks to prepare. If we have the same game plan as Ole Miss we lose. short passes and runs outside are key.

Les fixing to go in dry on Bama. Outside of one blowout, they haven't looked that impressive

Using 21-0 as a benchmark is setting the bar a bit low.

Pump the brakes. That team had way more experience on defense.

Well Obviously, the key to winning the game is going to be scoring more points than BAMA does...

pointless and asinine.... your post is pointless and asinine.

Jennings will have to break out in order for LSU to control this game.
But no Miles, will not get any credit for winning. It will go to either Jennings, a coordinator or the stadium.

Just like Miles like it and he will not take any credit for the victory.

I don't think that we can beat Bama by just trying to run the ball down their throats. We will have to be a bit more creative with the play calling than we have been. Mix in some short to intermediate passes and take a shot downfield (possibly to someone other than Dural) if the opportunity presents itself. I think that Jennings will have to play his best game yet, complete better than his usual 50% of his passes, and read the defense better. If we can keep from getting into 3rd and long situations repeatedly, then we have a chance. I think that the defense can keep us in the game until the offense settles in, provided that we make adjustments to the game plan if it turns out that it's not working, be that putting in Harris for a different look on some series, running to the outside as opposed to up the gut over and over again, etc.

The bottom line on offense is whether or not our coaches can adapt to the situation if their initial game plans aren't working.

IMO 'Bama will come out throwing the ball like they did in BCSNC. I look for them to spread out and get receivers in space. They've probably looked closely at how Auburn and MSU made a number of big plays in the passing game and will try to replicate. If LSU's DBs can prevent some early completions and make strong plays on the WR screens it could frustrate Sims and lead to some spotty decision making on his part - especially with the very hostile crowd.

On offense, LSU needs to get the edges on 'Bama. I worry that LSU will try to pound the middle in hopes of softening them up for later in the game. Dangerous plan if 'Bama scores early. We have athletic guards who can pull. Counter plays and sweeps could soften up their defense and make some of their interior lineman have to chase plays. Then spread them out and pound the middle with 4 220lb backs and a couple 240lb fullbacks.

Just my 2 cents.
