Extremely low turnout in key dem areas + more dem seats open for replacement + Obama base not energized to help + no Major GOP candidate screwups + a typical midterm election GOP turnout advantage + additional voters pissed at Obama = 2014 Rep win.
Don't expect the exact same formula for 2016. Reps still have work to do.
