I'm pro-Boom, I'm not gonna lie. He's an a-hole for sure, but he serves a purpose.
He has a knack for getting under the skin but he keeps the board fresh. He helps us avoid stagnation. He's good for the board, even if it doesn't seem like it.
Admit it, you hate the Rockets now because of him. I know I do. It's always more fun to root AGAINST a team than for one in my experience.

So he is basically like a weakened virus.. Something for us to easily defeat and keep the body fresh. I see the purpose now, I guess

Nah man I don't buy it. We were fine last year without it and had enough posts to make the Google search. Having every other thread degenerate into some stupid Dwight vs Davis or Rockets-related dialogue makes us no different than the music board (or any other board) where everything but WSP/Phish sucks (Davis/Pels) instead of actively discussing our team. I may be alone in that however. I doubt I am though. Most of us don't give 2 craps about the Rockets until our season is over and it's fun to see them lose in the playoffs. It's cute when it's march and we're 10 games under .500, but we're two games into a promising season.

I rooted for the Rockets because of Yao. When they played us or when it made a difference if they lose, I didn't root for them. 
Then Yao got injured, retired, and they became dirt to me.
