Am I out of touch or is alcohol really that big of a part of a lot of people's lives on this board?
People seem to brag/complain about beer/drink prices at concerts/airports yet still buy them at a rate enough to get hammered
I drink maybe once a week and never more than a couple, I guess because it just doesn't do it for me, but I'm floored at how some people refer to drinking and how important it is that anytime they are home watching sports or doing anything in their free time that they have to have drinks available
Maybe I come off as a prude or just an old man complaining.

I need help picking a show that wife and I can binge watch next. We watched the pilot of HoC last night and I enjoyed it but I'm not sure she did as much.
She wants to watch scandal but I don't think I trust the major network shows much anymore.

I enjoy it, but not enough to get hammered at $10 a pop. And I really only do it in social settings. Only time I do it at the house is after cutting grass, which is only 1 or 2, or when I'm cooking. and it's not every time. I definitely don't need it to watch a ballgame

I honestly don't think I could do it for a football game. I'm ramped as it is. Baseball is easy since you're sitting around most of the time.
Last year at PNC with a tall Yuengling in the bleachers on a cool night was pretty much heaven.

Also Scandal sucks. Anything on those networks is just lame these days. True Detective starts next month. Try documentaries on HBO or Netflix. There are some really interesting ones out there.

Sneaking alcohol onto a plane in a shampoo bottle to drink is a bit ridiculous and I also think it's some sort of crime or at least against FAA regs
I'm not judging, I'm just admitting that I don't get it. I don't have a problem watching a movie on a 3 hour flight and not needing a drink because I'm in Rome

I'm saying the need to sneak alcohol on so that you can drink seems a little strange.
I'm with you in the regard that I don't want to pay absurd prices for a tiny airplane drink, but I choose to abstain because of that, rather than sneak my own on.

I think I sneak it on because I enjoy doing it in spite of the outrageous prices. And I like drinking on the flight. Not heavy drinking or anything but I definitely like to have a small drink or two to get over how I don't believe in how a metal winged tube flies.
