Thoughts on Dan Claitor's poster comparing him with Garret Graves?

I bring this up in part due to the long thread several weeks about Graves' education.

I was unaware he went to Bama. That's disconcerting....

I couldn't give a shite where Graves went to college (only those in the district too dumb to move beyond college football rivalries would care), or that he didn't graduate. Scott Walker didn't graduate, and he's in my personal Top 2 preference for 2016.

I'd look more at the lack of a private sector resume, his ties to carpetbaggers like Billy Tauzin, and does he have the same D.C. residency issues as Landrieu??

Claitor is by far the best choice for the 6th district. He's libertarian leaning republican that's his own man his resume is not based in political patronage like Graves is.

I do love Graves cute family though from the ads.

That's an old school Louisiana political tactic. Haven't seen it in a while. Play up your achievements while downplaying your opponents, or spinning his positives to seem negative.

I voted for Claitor and still would, but this is a little cheap, particularly the Tauzin part. Graves was also an effective coastal restoration coordinator, and he deserves a lot of credit for that.

The only bad candidate in this race is Whitney.

So Claitor is separating himself by claiming he's lived in Baton Rouge since 1961; presumably his whole life. So he's saying when he was an ADA under Connick, he drove from BR to Nola every day? Highly doubt it.

And I guess going to law school in Nola doesn't count either. This flyer is a joke.
