Until sentencing, nothing is set in stone. Judges also don't have to agree with the prosecutions leanings.

Polanski drugged and raped a 13 year old. He should have rotted in jail.


Just to be clear, you're okay with judges making promises to defendants in order to get a guilty plea, and then reneging on those promises.

Yes, if new details emerge. Or if the defendant is not completely upfront.
