I'm starting to read some reviews (not so much from the top critics/metacritic reviewers) that are directing criticisms at the "Nolanites" including some tweets from RT's editor.

No doubt there are some annoying and extreme fans (I am admittedly a fan), but when an analysis is significantly impacted by external variables completely independent of the film, then that person review shouldn't be considered any more valid than the fanboys themselves.

It seems the counter-culture mentality, which is common in music, where the mainstream popularity of an artist (in this case, filmmaker) causes some to form a negative opinion because they believe that popularity is negatively associated with quality. Although it often is, it's lazy to assume, and unprofessional if that is one's job.

This is just a theme I noticed from some of the lesser known reviewers.
