negas say things like playing down to opponents and the offense is too predictable. if lsu is a run heavy, pro style offense, the only alternative is a more college oriented spread offense. perhaps even more up tempo.
the problem with this thinking is that the teams that run those kinds of offenses are not winning nearly as many games as miles is.
it could be said that if those teams had better defenses, they would win more than miles does. it's possible but, why criticize a winning strategy when the alternative isn't even playing itself out in reality?
as I have said many times, negas don't see the whole picture. they focus on the qb and individual plays. they don't factor in all 3 phases of the game. when they consider miles' overall record, they chalk it up to mere talent. however, if the team is winning on talent alone despite miles, then the sec isn't the toughest conference.

I just think we are missing that last component that makes us a national title kind of team verses a 10-2 team. We have a very good defense, a very good offensive line, great RB's. I just think we need to have a little more balance and better efficiency at the quarterback position. It will do wonders for our running game as well. I am not saying throw the ball 40 times but it will help tremendously being able to be more dangerous passing the ball. Attack all parts of the field. We have players like Dural who can beat you deep, Quinn is a sneaky fast player who finds holes in the defense. Dupre is very good as well. We just need to get the ball to them consistently. While Jennings has gotten better and he has to improve being consistent and hitting the shorter and intermediate passes. I think its correct move to start Jennings, he should. Come spring time, I really think there will be a major QB battle between Harris and Jennings. I think its Jennings to lose at this point but I like the direction we are heading. Lots to be excited about

Whole picture? I don't know what picture they are looking at cause how anyone can look at our last 2 yrs. and come up with a Miles wants to run 75% when we were probably 60-40 run just last yr. is beyond me.
This yr., how anyone can look at the results from our green QBs and think they should be throwing much more is equally beyond me.
In conference play our 2 guys have 5 TDs, 4 ints., and a combined passing eff. of bout 115.
Seems going with the run more this yr. is the smart play, but each to our own.
