I don't care. As long as they imply that Dick Grayson was the first Robin and keep the door open for Nightwing.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it makes no sense to start off Batman in The Dark Knight Returns version of the character. Can anyone else not see this?

We've seen Batman portrayed at the beginning or peak of his career in every movie to this point. I'm anxious to see something different.

No, we've seen it. We saw it in Rises. That was a big point in the movie. And that movie makes sense to use The Dark Knight Returns in that one. This just seems like the prequels when Lucas just directly lifted images and events in Empire, and clearly didn't understand why they didn't translate well to AotC.

This is already different, in that it's the first time we'll ever see the Justice League. If that's the main goal...to get movies about The League up and running, I also agree it makes no sense at all to begin the entire universe with a middle aged Batman. You want that movie...fine. It's the movie that should be slated for 2030.

But now? No...and it's my biggest beef with this entire thing. Not casting, not tone...but why they feel the need to portray Batman as older rather than either just starting off like a contemporary with Supes or just several years in but still well in the height of his prowess.
