What exactly does this phrase mean.......

I name and appoint (name redacted) as independent executrix of my estate with full seizin and without bond.

This was in my uncles will. He named a sketch relative as executrix and of course sketchy activity is happening.

Just trying to protect my mom's interests.

Is that the exact verbiage?

Are your sure it's a legit will?

Seizen means possession. Without bond means she doesn't have to procure a surety bond insuring her from raping the estate.

Yes it is. My uncle gifted money to me and my siblings. Donated to charities and such, and then left the rest of his possessions to my mom (house, contents etc).

There is an issue of a safety deposit box and we don't know what it contains. This is where the sketchiness starts. Should mom or representative be present when it is retrieved?

'Season without bond' is a low-sodium seasoning for older people with blood pressure issues.

So, my instincts are correct. Mom is going to get raped in this?

have the executrix declared a spendthrift and seek a constructive trust or TRO until such time as you can show your uncle was nuts, otherwise manipulated.

happens everyday. I am not a lawyer you can rely on. go find a real lawyer in the flesh and do not believe any shat you read here. Fact pattern sounds like an exam question from a cheesy law school

A sketchy executrix of an estate of a well-off uncle? That's unusual to you? Mustn't be from Louisiana.

Trust me, you don't want to see this.

What is seen, cannot be unseen.......
