It doesn't seem unreasonable to me to suggest that all things bound by science are possible to eventually be discovered using science.
IMO, if something cannot eventually be discovered by science than it must be something outside the physical constraints of the reality in which we live. God would fall into that category.

I do not believe the mysteries of human consciousness will ever be explained. If so, it could be predicted. It would ruin free will. It would undermine our whole existence and seems incompatible with our existence.

Didn't say it was unreasonable. I'm just saying that same reasoning can be applied to a christian claiming the rapture will occur using faith.
