I'm gonna retire somewhere around 2045. I was thinking like 2 million, but with inflation that's not much at all. How much do ya'll think is enough for an upper middle class lifestyle?

Hoping that I can just own a business that practically runs itself and I just take all the profits. That's how real OT Ballers work bruh.

Forcing myself into early retirement.

Depends on where you live and what style you want to maintain.

If your house and vehicles are paid off, as well as kids done with college, your number can be a lot lower.

I think this is impossible question without knowing inflation. In today's dollars, if my house was paid for - and I needed to live for 30 years, I think $1M would be sufficient along with my retirement benefit which should be around $50k annually.
