Sorry if this has been posted.

Well, according to CFBStats.com, only two of the 108 Division 1 FBS schools - Air Force and Army – have rushed the ball more times than LSU this year.

And on the flip-side, LSU is 107th in terms of its number of pass attempts.

This is very stunning considered LSU is loaded with 4 star quarterbacks and 5,4 star wide receivers. LSU is not even trying to pass the ball.

We do try to pass the ball. We're just not very good at it.

To be fair to the QBs I've seen quite a few drops by wide receivers this year.

These go hand in hand. We don't even know if LSU can pass the ball b/c they never try. LSU has played plenty of cupcakes already to test the water and did not.

Agreed. World-class offensive coordinator, though. One of the best all time.

If only Les didn't prevent him from teaching quarterbacks to hit the broad side of a barn.

ETA: This is sarcasm.

Yeah, but what are we ranked in terms of record?

We've thrown the ball an average of 22 times per game. That's not a lot, but it's infinitely more than "never".

Yeah, LSU has an offense equal to Army and Air force. Is this ok with you?

If running the ball the entire game gets wins vs Ole Miss and Bama then I'm all for it. I think you know (everyone else too) this will not work. Not even close. LSU has to throw the ball to win.

108 teams in FBS. LSU ranks 107 in pass attempts. I think this justifies the "never" quote.

Why are you stunned? I'm fairly certain Miles subscribes to the old saying of Darrel K Royal that says "Three things can happen you pass the ball, and two of them are bad."

Ole Lester loves him some knuckle dragging three yards and a cloud of dust.

It was surprising in September. Now, it's closer to expected than stunning

But keep in mind that NCAA offenses are as pass-happy as they've ever been. 22 per game is not a bad number, provided you're efficient. The problem is, we're not.

So either Air Force or Army throws it more than us.

Awesome

We'll you'd be wrong. If we were throwing it 3-5 times per game, you could say "almost never". 22x is not even almost never. Perhaps a more accurate description would be "half as much" as the FBS average, though I think we throw it just a bit more than that.

Perhaps, but the failure of the passing game this season is more related to the QB than the receivers. Quinn manages to get open repeatedly but never gets the ball. Diarse has been all but forgotten since the Wisconsin game. The only pass that Jennings can throw with any sort of consistency is the go route to Dural, and he still completes less than 50% of his passes.

LSU has the height advantage at WR over the Ole Miss defenders but so you think you'll see us exploit that? Hell no.

Absolute nonsense. There is no evidence that Les is preventing him from doing anything he wants to do.

Actually it's more like 120 teams in FBS, but whatever. With any luck we'll fall way behind this weekend so our average pass attempts per game will go up.

lol at people downvoting you in the face of irrefutable facts. I got your back.

How about some of the downvotes come out and argue against these simple points:

We pass an average of 22 times per game.
We're not very good at it.
