Carl's is having a Monday only sale on the mile high bacon cheese thickburger. Buy one get one free. I would imagine that Hardees will have the same sale.

Are they actually any good at all? Haven't eaten at Hardee's in over 6 years, and prolly had something other than breakfast 2 or 3 times, and that being at least 10 years.

I've never had one. Carl's isn't my favorite hamburger place. I think the burger I like the best is their cheapest. I think it's called the BIG Burger and is less than $2.00. The commercials for the MHBCT make it look pretty damn good.

Those commercials could make dog crap look tasty. But that picture does look good. Just been so long since I have been Hardee's since we only got one a year ago down here. Never even seen a Carl Jr.'s in my life.

Are they changing all Hardee's to Carl's Jr.? I assumed that Carl's Jr. was what they called Hardee's out West.
My kids asked me why they called them Carl's Jr. in Oregon, instead of Hardee's. I told them, "Oregonian's thought that Hardee's was a stupid name for a fast food restaurant, so they decided to call it Carl's Jr."

I think they merged or one bought the other. As far as I know they will keep their same names based on location. Carl's Jr has just come to the Houston market within the last few years. The one in my neighborhood opened within the last couple years.
I have heard that Hardee's has better breakfast, biscuits and chicken strips. I don't know if it is true but I have had Carl's chicken strips and wasn't impressed.

Yea, I assumed it was basically like the Rally's/ Checker's set up. Same restaurant, different names.

The pictures always look pretty. I'd bet the IRL version doesn't look like that.

Pretty much all fast food advertisements are blatant lies. I don't hate fast food but it typically doesn't even look 1/2 as good as the pictures and of course those subway adds use TRIPLE the meat for the pictures.

I had one of these at Hardee's in New Iberia and it was very good, plus they bake their buns in house now, makes a big difference

Okay, I tried one last night. No it doesn't look exactly like the picture and certainly nothing like the commercial - but that is good because it wouldn't have fit in my mouth. It did have all the ingredients shown and listed on the website - meat, bacon, cheese, buns, mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato.
When I got home and started to prepare the burgers based on an idea I had I was very disappointed at first. I thought I had run into a case of false advertising. I was planning to take the bacon from both burgers and make a BLT and eat all of it. Then I would eat as much of the double cheeseburger as wanted. I am on a BIGTIME BLT craze right now.
Why I was disappointed is because the bacon was crushed. There was a lot of it, but the way it was mixed with the cheese and mayo and in such small pieces it would have been a lot more work than I was willing to partake in for a hamburger/BLT from Carl's.
Looking at picture again this morning it does look like the picture is also of crushed bacon. Other than the bacon being crushed it is a pretty darn good hamburger. A little messy with small pieces of bacon escaping during consumption.

They may do it next Monday. The website has a blacked out box that says to check back on 10/27. You can see the buy 1 get 1 free and a picture of the mile high through the shading.

What? I do that with Wendy's. I get a junior bacon cheeseburger and a baconator and put the bacon on the JBC and the meat from the JBC on the baconless baconator. The JBC becomes a very awesome BLT and the b-nator becomes a three patty monster that I usually can only eat half of.
