Can we turn this thing around?

Any chance of us getting on a winning streak and getting on a roll similar to what we did in 2011 wining 8 straight to close out the season. I personally don't see it, we just don't seem to have the explosiveness on offense that we once had. The O line is not nearly as good as it was then and we are not as explosive on the perimeter. Guys like Meachem and Colston are getting long in the tooth and while Stills had a good game yesterday he has been very inconsistent. I also don't feel like we are using Brandon Cooks properly. Defense seems to be improving a little but still lacks that edge and intensity it had a year ago. Saw a little more of it yesterday hopefully they can keep it up.

The only thing is our division is absolutely awful.
Someone could win it at 8-8 or 9-7.
But no, we aren't going to do it.

We will win the division and get to host a playoff game

no, no team has ever come back from a game behind with only ten games left to play

Well we are 0-4 on the road and 2-0 at home. We'd need to win the rest of our road games (@TB, @CAR, @CHI, and @PITT) and all of our home games which isn't going to be an easy task. Now that's a different story if Carolina keeps losing, in which case all we need to do is win our divisional games. I still don't see any team in the NFC South going anywhere though. Worst division in football by far.

The only positive I can think of is winning the division at say 7-9 or even 6-10, getting the Seahawks at home, and exacting sweet sweet revenge on their arse.
Otherwise I'd rather the draft position.

easily, we're all pretty much sitting here at the same record, only we're losing in the closing seconds and Atlanta and Carolina are getting their asses handed to them every week
Sean Payton has been outcoached almost every single week, he needs to get it turned around and stop making these bone headed decisions that cost us games...no reason that ball should even be in the air after we went up 13 points...we should've been up even more. The penalty on the reverse was bullshite, but penalties get called on those plays more than others, why isn't he just lining it up and pounding it when that was working quite well at that point in time?
The guy is a fricking loon, and he's been in a slump with decision making ever since the middle of last season

We were winning 3 games lateish in the 4th quarter on the road. We could easily be having a good year, but we aren't. Sometimes you don't get the breaks. I don't think we're great but I think we could finish decently.

Bad division maybe
but this team is mental weak sauce. Not happening

We can still win the division, and honestly have to be the favorites. We've been in every game except the Dallas game. The Saints have just found ways to lose and that's got to be a trend that will turn around soon.
One thing that HAS to change is Sean Payton's terrible clock management and playcalling in time sensitive situations. Up 13 with 3:30 left and we are still passing the goddamn football, I just don't understand it.

Agreed with everyone saying we're in a BAD division. Any other year, we would be screwed.
Think of it this way, we still have 4 division games (2 vs. carolina, 1 vs. atlanta, 1 vs. tampa bay)
we are 2-4, carolina is 3-3-1, atlanta is 2-5 (with a home game in london this week), and tampa bay is 1-5.
If we win all the division games, we're at 6-4. Atlanta and TB look like they're done for the year. Atlanta continues to go downhill in points scored and up in points allowed (or pretty much hovering around 30ppg) and tampa continues to get blown out.
Being realistic, Carolina is our only competition at this point as they're #1 in the division. Outside of us, they have:
Seattle @ home
@ Philly
Atlanta @ home
@ Minnesota
Tampa Bay @ Home
Cleveland @ Home
@ Atlanta
I put them at a ceiling of 5-2 those games and 1-1 vs. us, putting them at 9-6-1 for the year.

Yeah. It's not like we're getting blown out every week the other teams in our division.

Right now, I doubt if they could whip their way out of a wet paper sack.
Won't take much more of this before the A'ints Bags come back.

yes, we can. sure it sucks because we should be 3-3 at least and at best 5-1. we were very close to winning three of the 4 losses. defensive performance improved this week.
let all the bandwagon fans jump off.

In this season's Special Olympics that is the NFC South, we can limp our way into the wildcard round.
