It's not even the most prestigious in football.
Since the NFL is now Glorified Arena Football, Favre/Manning/Brady/Brees are shattering all the records and a new one gets set every other year. It's very watered down.
I think Eric Dickerson's rushing record is The One (at least for football), followed by Emmitt Smith's.

I agree with the rushing record being more prestigious. Passing stats have just become so inflated it's hard to take them serious anymore even tho the TD record is obviously a great accomplishment.

Sorry to say it because I love Manning, but this.
Dude is still one of the greatest sportsmen of all time (and arguably the greatest QB).
Remember those Manning vs. Brady debates? lols.
