For dear life Brees played there 9 years ago. He was 25 when he tore his arm up, crazy how people act like Brees was this Wiley old veteran bum before he came here. He's been here for 9 years now, shite doesn't even make sense anymore

Tom Brady 2004: 28 tds- 14 ints
Drew Brees 2004: 27 tds- 7 ints

Tom Brady 2005: 26 tds-14 ints
Drew Brees 2005: 24-15 ints

So basically being told he was garbage in San Diego is telling me he performed almost as well as Tom Brady?

Playing Marty ball also that was LT's team

Why can't it be a 26 year old Quarterback didn't become elite because he was progressing? Or maybe it's just straight hatin going on here

I've got a master's degree in history and like to think I'm reasonably educated. I've read your post three times now and I still can't tell what you're trying to say. That's an awful lot of words on the screen to make zero sense.

you people can't possibly be that illiterate lol

Brees is a system QB only good because of Sean Payton. N.O. Inflates his stats, not that he just became better with age

Cliffs from OP: why do people Act like he came to us old and a washed up bum IE Kurt Warner. And SP just suddenly created a elite QB out of Matt Shuad or something. Suggesting so and so would be great in our system and not feeling that it works or worked because Brees works his arse off.

He played well even then when nobody but manning put up today's numbers. Brady didn't even out up big numbers until '07

Common sayings. The fact that I have to even break it down is amazing

Been a Saints fan my entire life and a part-time internet debater for almost 20 years on various Saints forums and I've never heard a single person ever make the argument I think you're trying to rail against

For dear life

I will respond to your thread.

He was not. This is incorrect.
He had a season ending/career ending injury.
SD had a #1 QB pick sitting on the sidelines.
They had to make a choice.
They cut him and he went on the free market. Miami passed on him. We didn't.

this Wiley old veteran bum

Your the only one who thinks any of this.
At that point in his career no one called him wiley or a bum. Go ahead and try to find such.

Drew was a OK QB at SD and got a hell of a lot better playing under CSP's system.

What was your point again?
