I talked about this a bit yesterday in a different thread but want to get some more opinions.

Guy I'm playing has Cam Newton as his big point scorer this week.

I have Olsen as my starting TE and Benjamin on my bench bc I start DT88 and Cobb

If Benjamin is healthy should I bench Cobb for Benjamin so that every time Cam throws a TD it's probably gonna go to either my TE or WR? It's basically a way to cancel out Cam points through the air.

Thoughts?

Benji should be in your flex regardless

You're using 2 players to cancel out 1 player.

You're over thinking. Just play who you think gets the most points for you.

Sounds like the opposite of what you should do. Cam can score a lot of points that don't involve Benjamin or Olsen, especially since he is essentially their starting HB. However, Every single point scored by Olsen or Benjamin will be somewhat cancelled out by Cam being on your opponents team. Start Cobb.

If you feel that Benjamin will score more points than Cobb then start him, if not go Cobb. I personally think it's a toss up on who's the better start this week so I'd probably go Benjamin but I have Benjamin on my team so I'm probably just being a homer.

If the rest of your team is superior to the rest of his team then I think this is a solid strategy. Or you could just go with playing your players that you think have the best chance of scoring the most points.

Go with whatever players you think gives you the most points. Don't worry about who's on the other team.

You dont worry about who your opponent is playing. You play the guys who will score you the most points. Thats fantasy 101.
