That's not rude at all. Maybe he thought you were the best candidate until he interviewed another person who surprised him. He may have meant every word he said, but was just blown away by another candidate. It happens dude.

Also my overall gpa is 3.0

Oh fricking please, you whinny bitch. I had a 2.5, didn't give a shite in college, and only excelled on things I was interested in. And if my GPA is asked in an interview, I tell them the truth on why I did what I did, and I have a better job than 85% of my friends, most of which had better GPAs than me.

And you're blaming this on a so-called shitty GPA? Let me let you in on a little secret kid: no one gives a frick about the difference between a 3.0 and a 3.8. Unless a socially competent 4.0 student interviewed for your position (assuming social competence is a factor), then it was the fact that someone had a better interview than you that got them the job. Your GPA is highly unlikely to have been a factor. Really, your GPA is only a factor in your first job. Doesn't mean shite afterwards, and haven't been asked the question in 3 years.

If you're a 3.0 student, that's not the reason I can almost assure you. Stop with the blame game and get your shite together.

I interned at a mid tier accounting firm . In auditing it is a people job where you go and talk to different levels within an organization. You think big 4 will hire a guy that is awkward? You can get a 4.0 in college but if you have no people skills its over.

You really seem to be emphasizing the people part. Ever consider that you suck with people (which you're definitely coming across as here), and that's why they're not hiring you? I've got great people skills, and that's a big reason why despite my shitty GPA I was able to get a great job and kick arse in my job.

I've interviewed for 3 jobs so far internally and not gotten them, but I don't play the blame game like you. I recognize that there are some people maybe slightly more qualified than me, but I'm always improving and learn from each interview. I look for the flaws within myself, and think I get better with each interview. You instead look at the flaws in the interviewer and have no idea what that person has come across.

You really seem like an entitled bitch, and you really need to come back to Earth. I sure as frick wouldn't hire someone with your self righteous and narcissistic attitude, especially for an auditor, who people in the workplaces you walk into are ready to eat you alive.

Sounds like you may have more than bad grades going against you. The way you pitched the interview story was terrible.

Your personality and communication skills were so bad that the interviewer had to check your grades just to see if you had any redeeming qualities.

Forget about the big 4. Plan to work in a small town with an ugly wife.

If you think that is remotely rude, then you are in for a rude awakening.

Some interviewers will be as belligerent as your worst enemy.

Some will rip your arse to shreds and make you beg for your momma.

Seriously.

Not sure how you would think it was rude of them to question poor grades.

Also, maybe you didn't get hired because you're vague and boring.

One of the most important aspects of "people skills" is to be able to "read" others. The fact that you had to ask if somebody was rude, yet couldn't provide examples, indicates that you may be lacking in that area. In addition, some of your overly emotional and defensive responses aren't indicative of great people skills. I could be completly wrong, but you may need to work on these skills more than you realize.

Based on your telling of this story, and the subsequent clarification posts, I would say that it is a safe bet that you have terrible communication skills man

There Could be worse stuff, actually. It's a valid question, especially if the course you didn't do well on relate to said job.

Wouldn't have done it directly, but it's fine for the employer to look at them
