So, is Ebola over, or is there more to come?

Seems like the embers in the fire are dying out. Two nurses getting better. Africa dude unfortunately died. CDC has it under control.

Everything simmering down. Can we all go home and relax now, or is there a Part Deux that will blindside us?

Depends on whether our astute administration allows anymore infected patients to enter our country.

Where's this?

Not disputing it, just haven't seen such info. Of course, one being diagnosed yesterday, I'm not sure how we could draw such a conclusion at this point.

By Monday morning everyone who had contact with Duncan before he was admitted to the hospital will be in the clear, and we are already more than a week past the normal incubation period.

Unfortunately Ms. Amber Vinson was extremely careless and I suspect she is still not being 100% truthful about when she was symptomatic, etc. Therefore we are probably running a decent risk there and won't be totally in the clear until Nov 3rd, but very likely to be able to breathe easy before Halloween.

I don't believe that we will see another import of the virus as it was by a pretty unique set of circumstances that he made it here. That plus the fact that he died and the family has been outspoken about his shoddy care should reduce the odds.

Edit: There is also the case of the NBC News crew that is in isolation, but that is lifted on the 22nd and they only had brief interactions with him when he first started showing a slight fever on Oct. 1. His fever elevated that evening when he was at home.

Of course we will have headlines if the news guy or either of the nurses die.

I wouldn't be relaxing for 21 days if I had been on the plane with her.

Also, I heard this morning from tv news that the plane she was on was used four other times before it was santitized after she deplaned in Texas. In fairness, I haven't heard that statement made again in the last 4-5 hours though.

Depends on whether or not the crisis, that this was used to distract us from, is over.

I'm about over it. Time to book a vacation.
