I wonder if these "outside the box" ideas were discussed in the recent media contracts? If they shorten games or decrease the number of games from 82,ESPN and Turner should be a little upset.

Yeah I don't get people being upset about this. The two teams volunteered to do it.

The only thing that needs to be addressed game length wise imo is the speed of reviews.

If you watch the local broadcast games of teams they actually seem to go by faster than college games because the commercials are a lot less frequent. The national TV broadcast are the ones that go on too long.
