Let me clear that one up Hungryone. All in joking a poster said the bugs came from Versallies, which another poster didn't realize was a local place. That poster then made a comment about the bugs not being local which in turn the original jokester told them to google Versailles Louisiana to learn where it was located. Hope that makes sense.
I got that part, but I don't get why she would refer to it. It can be perceived as a vaguely racist smear (weird ingredients raised by Asians in NO East), or as the author being ignorant of local geography. Or, it's potentially incorrect and the grasshoppers are raised elsewhere.
But I went to journalism school slightly before the world wide web existed, where if you put your name on a byline, it actually meant you'd done a little research and not simply scraped unverified content from another source without ever leaving your office or picking up the phone.
shite, now I'm all mad over some damn grasshoppers. Maybe they're crickets from Blackie Campo's in Shell Beach, LOL. (edited for typos)

The Versailles I know is firmly in Orleans Parish, centered around Mary Queen of Vietnam church parish. Like dis: LINK /

Versailles is an unincorporated community in Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana. It is along the East Bank of the Mississippi River, about 3.5 miles below the lower limit of New Orleans. The community, for governmental and postal address purposes, is considered part of Chalmette and by some designations, part of neighboring Meraux. The name "Versailles", as a place designation, continues in local use.
