not saying we are a well oiled machine but from an execution standpoint we made some attempts and some strides last night.

1) blocking by OL much improved
2)blocking by WR's and TE's much improved; even saw some downfield blocking by the WR's
3) AJ suffered several coverage sacks. these may be unsuccessful plays but we had a QB that stayed in the pocket and actually looked for open receivers; more than one. i'm sorry that he didn't find any but florida does have some damn good DB's. it was actually encouraging to see one of our QB's not panic and it was encouraging to see a pocket last a few seconds.
4) we actually attempted some short passes and some were successful. our FB caught 2 or 3 key passes and Quinn caught some also. we even tried a coupla slants. these werent' successful but we will get better at them if we keep trying.

while none of these seem like a huge step forward it does indicate to me we are moving in the right direction, esp the OL and other blockers. I am encouraged. after the clusterfrick at auburn and msu where total panic prevailed maybe there's a ray of hope.

Terrific. By the end of the season we might progress from awful to merely bad.

The fullback, the slants, the across the middles were a much needed addition to the mix. Florida had so many fines plays it was sick. For some reason we think it's not a good play unless we crash into someone. Florida had plenty of passes out of the back field that were nice and we should too.

The only thing I saw was on third and very long, LSU made a personnel move with Desean Smith. Florida, saw that he was running up the seam, allowing Dural to be open down the sideline.

I don't understand why we can't get plays in faster. Consistently breaking the huddle with 15 seconds on the play clock.

We need harris period. I was so wrong saying Jennings is one best bet. Kid I'd lost and timid

I agree somewhat, but it still baffles me as to why they are so reluctant to spread the field and put the athletes in space. If they would make a legit effort to the this than everything else would work better.

The team is showing significant improvement. I was at the game and it was loud as hell and very difficult for the offense to operate in those conditions. They did a good job.

The Defense also played better.

Special Teams, not so much.

UF has a damned good defense. Jennings avoided making bad plays fro the most part. He took a few sacks but they were all coverage sacks and he had little chance to do anything but go down.

There are some jackwagons (Rex) who will never be pleased because they know nothing about football.
