Weren't the Sooners already relevant before Switzer? Was anyone between him and Wilkinson?

Would Chris Peterson make the list?

I thought about listing Peterson, but I figured since Boise State wasn't all that respected by message board fans and they weren't invited into a major conference it wouldn't go over well.

I don't think so. Hawkins had that program going before he left for Colorado. I think a bit similar to Saban/Miles

I think the list is very good. For me, probably Schnellenberger and Synder top the list. Miami and K-State were horrible football programs until they came along. HS at least at a great talent pool in Miami that apparently no one else recruited until he came along. What Synder has done in the middle of nowhere Kansas is remarkable
